For unique, beautifully restored cabins, look no further than Persimmon Creek Cottages in Sharon, OK. We are Mick and Susan Young, and we decided to go into the “lodging business” because we have a lot of incredible space to share, and we love people.
In 2008, we became the owners of a 1902 farmhouse, originally built by George Winter. The home, a true piece of American history, was relocated to a 10-acre lot of prairie land, and it was lovingly restored to its former glory. After seeing how much we enjoyed rescuing this one-of-a-kind home, we decided to save a couple small buildings we had seen over the years.
With creativity, a vision, and a lot of hard work, we took a garden shed, an old prairie schoolhouse, and another worn-out building and transformed them into lovely, quaint vacation homes. Each cottage is warm and inviting and has its own unique features.
One cabin boasts its own hot tub and screened-in back porch, another has a cozy loft sleeping area with a woodsy atmosphere, and the last has its original hardwood floors — plus much more. Whatever amenities you’re looking for, you are sure to enjoy a rental at Persimmon Creek Cottages!
