Nestled near the shores of Lake Tenkiller in Park Hill, Oklahoma, our two‑bedroom barn apartment offers a comfortable retreat for families and small groups. The spacious upper level serves as the main living area, with an open‑concept kitchen and living room where guests can prepare meals, dine together at the island and unwind with movies or conversation. A spiral staircase leads down to a fully furnished game room with pool table, ping‑pong table and foosball, creating an all‑weather entertainment hub.
Guests appreciate the balance of indoor comfort and outdoor living. Step onto the patio to grill dinner, roast marshmallows over the fire pit or simply breathe in the fresh country air. A private entrance, off‑street parking (including covered space for a 25‑ft boat), and a smart lock make arrival and self‑check‑in easy. The climate‑controlled apartment includes a queen‑bed master bedroom, a bunk room with two lower bunks and two smaller upper bunks, two bathrooms with hot water, and a futon in the game room for extra sleeping space.
The retreat is part of a working barn, so some areas are off‑limits, but guests have exclusive use of the apartment and game room. Essentials such as a washer, dryer, bed linens, Wi‑Fi, TV, air conditioning and heating are included, along with a full kitchen featuring refrigerator, stove, oven, coffee maker and dishes. Whether you’re boating on the lake, exploring Cherokee County or simply relaxing with a movie after a day of adventure, this cabin provides a welcoming base.
One standout feature of our property is the downstairs game room. Outfitted with a pool table, ping‑pong table and foosball table, plus a bar area with sink, mini‑fridge and ice maker, it allows guests to enjoy hours of friendly competition without leaving the property. The game room even has laundry facilities, so you can keep clothes and towels fresh between lake trips. A futon offers additional sleeping space, making the retreat flexible for larger families or groups.
Another unique aspect is the property’s combination of rustic setting and thoughtful conveniences. Although the apartment is housed in a barn, guests enjoy modern amenities such as Wi‑Fi, smart‑lock self check‑in and air conditioning. Covered boat parking, a private entrance and outdoor spaces like the patio, fire pit and barbecue grill make it easy to transition from days on the water to relaxing evenings. With only two bedrooms and a maximum capacity of six guests, the retreat maintains an intimate, home‑like feel while still offering room to spread out.
Lake Tenkiller is just minutes away and is known for its clear water, making it a favorite for boating, fishing, swimming and scuba diving. Nearby marinas offer boat rentals, slips and fuel. In summer months you can explore the lake’s many coves by kayak or stand‑up paddleboard, or simply swim from one of several designated beaches.
When you’re ready for a change of pace, head to Cherokee Landing State Park or Tenkiller State Park for hiking trails, picnic areas and wildlife viewing. The area is rich in history and culture—visit the Cherokee Heritage Center in nearby Tahlequah to learn about Cherokee history and see the recreated 18th‑century village. A short drive north brings you to the historic town of Tahlequah, home to art galleries, shops and local restaurants.
Families will appreciate nearby attractions such as Elephant Rock Nature Park, where you can hike among unique rock formations, or the Jolliff Ridge Public Use Area with its boat ramps and walking paths. For dining, try local favorites like the Deck at Cookson Village overlooking the lake, or head to one of several waterfront restaurants for live music and catfish dinners. After exploring, return to the retreat to play a round of pool or unwind on the patio under the stars.
